Food And Water
One of the main initiatives of NAF is food and water. We want to use food and water to help achieve positive changes in the lives of poor and disadvantaged children in rural areas and townships.
The world population is predicted to grow from 6.9 billion in 2010 to 8.3 billion in 2030 and 9.1 billion in 2050. Food demand is anticipated to increase by 60% by 2050. Water plays an important role in food security and provides the basis for healthy ecosystems and human well-being. The relationship between water and food production is key to creating resilient and sustainable food systems. Water is an important component in a number of human functions, hygiene, and the overall maintenance of health. At the most basic level, water service must meet consumption and hygiene needs and sustain good health at household level. Millions of the world’s poorest people, however, die each year from preventable diseases due to poor hygiene, lack of clean drinking water, and lack of proper sanitation facilities.
NAf aims to alleviate poverty and hunger in the African children population. We save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. We work to feed, empower, cloth, and provide basic amenities such as food, water, electricity, housing, and healthcare to the poorest of Africa. We envision providing access to clean, safe and reliable water, food and sanitation solutions across Africa.
